The Air Jordan 2 (II) Low Retro – White / Midnight Navy – University Blue were released in 2004 and retailed for $100. They are probably the nicest and most popular of the low cut retros, as they feature immaculate craftsmanship and a beautiful colorway. A very noticeable feature is the black midsole, which greatly contrasts with the white upper, drawing plenty of attention to the shoe.? The upper consists of leather an lizard skin, and the unusual looking heel tab is a nice added touch.
The Air Jordan II debuted in the 1986 and 1987 season,this is Jordan's third year in the league, as he wore the Air Jordan I for his first two years.It was released after Jordan's second year in the NBA.It featured a full length air sole and very supportive midsole.The Air Jordan II featured high quality Italian leather and designed by a 19th century Italian woman's boot inspiration.It was made in Italy originally. The Air Jordan 2 was the second shoe in the line of Air Jordans. These were the only shoes from the Air Jordan line to not originally be released in a black color placement.Its original color(black, white, and red) that schemed in 2004 was re-introduced ,now a new black/silver colorway was released as well as a Carmelo Anthony colorway of white, Carolina Blue, and yellow.It is said that Jordan would release a Varsity Red and White shoe.Although very rare, it is there.The Air Jordan 2 again stood out from all of the other basketball shoes with a faux lizard skin on the side of the shoe.The Air Jordan II shoe was also the first Nike sneaker that not feature the Nike swoosh logo.
