The Air Jordan 14 (XIV) Retro – Final / Last Shot (Black / Varsity Red – Black) were released on December 24, 2005, and retailed for $130. They feature a black upper constructed from leather an durabuck, as well as red accents, which can be seen on the Jumpman logos, “23″ at the back, and the vent located at the midsole. The leather portions also feature perforations, which provide a system of ventilation to the bearer’s foot. They are light weight, (the lightest Air Jordan to dat), and feature a well placd herringbone design on the outsole which provides great traction. The sleek design was created for a reason, as they are modeled after one of Michael Jordans’s Ferrari’s, with similar details such as the shield- shaped Jumpman badge, the Rossa Corsa red shank plate and midsole air vent.

The Air Jordan XIV (14) was released in 1998/1999.Michael announced his retirement from the NBA basketball for the second time on January 13, 1999.This was the very last Air Jordan model that Michael would sport in NBA before his retirement. It is worth mentioning that Nike Jordan 14 was the first Air Jordans which feature laces with metal tips. Also there are some designs can be see on the both XV's and XVI's.The inspiration for the XIV's were based on the Michaels car, the Ferrari 550 M, and was made by Tinker Hatfield together with Mark Smith. With the the XIV's there begun a trend of having a number of things that would count towards the modelof the shoe. A great stylish design and a great shoe for Michael to end his NBA career in.There were seven jumpmans; ferrari-like shield, insole, sole, back, 2 x lace tip and front on each shoe of the air jordan 14 (XIV)’s. Counting them on both shoes makes it a total of jordans 14 (XIV) Jumpmans.
